Nirimba is an Aboriginal word of the Darug people for "pelican". The Navy training base which was previously situated on the Nirimba Education Precinct site adopted the "Nirimba" name. Nirimba is now used extensively throughout the region's educational community.
Partnerships with Nirimba TAFE and the University of Western Sydney provide students with benefits including the ability to complete concurrent courses of study, accelerated programs and post-school opportunities.
The four Nirimba Collegiate schools are part of the Blacktown North - Educational Pathways Program (EPP). This program is designed to improve higher edcuation and career outcomes for young people.
Students in the Nirimba Collegiate also have increased opportunities as Seven Hills High School is a pilot school for the Vocational Schools Program (VSPP). With a purpose built facility set to open in 2023 offering specialist TAFE delivered and school based VET courses. This facility is only available to senior students across the Nirimba Collegiate.

Our collegiate plan
Each Nirimba Collegiate school has a School Plan that identifies key priorities that can be found on their school website. In addition, the Collegiate Management Group identifies focus areas and work together to achieve the highest possible learning outcome for every student in the collegiate.
