Term 3 Highlights : 'Annie' at Riverstone High School

So many events have taken place over the last 5 weeks that have made the Nirimba Collegiate a very exciting place to be learning and working in. Here are some of the highlights...

Riverstone High School's production 'Annie: the Musical'

An extremely talented and dedicated team of students and teachers have worked tirelessly over the past 6 months to bring 'Annie: The Musical' to life. The performances of all cast members were professional and polished. The score was flawlessly realised by a skilled orchestra.

The Cast were:  Savannah Smith-Xuereb as a lively and cheeky Annie; Joshua Smith as the sometimes officious but tender-hearted Oliver Warbucks; Georgia Brough as the sassy Miss Hannigan; Abigail Nelapati as a dedicated Grace Farrell. Searching for 'Easy Street' as Rooster Hannigan and Lily St Regis were Ethan Jamsek and Annabelle Ross respectively. The gruff voiced butler Drake was played by William Routledge and Rachel Kharka, Georgia Stephenson, Kirra Hogg-Smith, Monique Gooch and Amelia Robinson conspired together as the orphan friends of Annie. Rounding off the cast was Earl Jamsek, Benjamin Rainbow, Alexis Morier, Abbie Jenkins and Ella Hughes.

This production saw more staffmembers tread the boards with Ms Ottley demonstrating her puppeteering skills as Sandy's handler, Mr Witchard giving voice to the radio announcer (sponsored by Oxydent) and  Principal Ms Karen Downie took on a guest starring role as the President FDR.

The show would not have been as seamlessly produced had it not been for marvellous crew of student stage managers, prop and costume makers, ushers, sound and lighting techs, and musicians, staff and parent supporters.

Riverstone High School's School Musical Program is a focal point of their calendar, students develop confidence, performance, teamwork and communication skills - a program that Riverstone HS takes great PRIDE in!
